"My teeth suffered tremendously during each of my three pregnancies. Twelve years ago, after my last child was born, I had all of my back teeth removed. After that experience, I was absolutely terrified of the dentist. I lived for years unable to smile without covering my mouth and eating only with my front teeth. "I remember walking into a very welcoming atmosphere. All of the staff gave me big smiles. They were not judgmental at all; only trying to make sure I was 'doing okay'. When I sat down in the chair, I was so embarrassed to open my mouth. Dr. Carpenter and I discussed, reviewed and finalized a plan for my teeth - including the cost. There were no surprises.

"When the day to begin the work arrived, I was scared to death. The staff did a pretty good job of calming me down, but at one point, while Dr. Carpenter was working on my teeth, I began to shiver. It could have been my nerves, the Novocain, or both. The next thing I know, here comes Dr. Carpenter's assistant with a warm, soft blanket. How nice was that?

"Over a handful of visits, I spent a lot of time in that chair. I underwent impressions, two root canals, several crowns, eight veneers, gum contouring, several bite correction procedures and had customized partial dentures made for my missing back teeth.

"Dr. Carpenter and his staff were so caring and understanding throughout the whole process. Although it's hard for me to believe looking back, I never felt any pain!! (Actually, I became so relaxed I actually dozed off a few times while he was working on me.) On the days when I had significant work done, Dr. Carpenter would call that evening to check on me. That is a dentist who cares about his patients!

"Finally, when all of my work was done, I felt like a new person! It was truly a new beginning for me. I put my trust in you, Dr. Carpenter, and you never let me down. Now, when I stop by for a cleaning, I don't feel like I'm visiting the dentist... it's more like seeing old friends. Dr. Carpenter and his staff are absolutely wonderful!
