Symptoms of periodontal disease

Unfortunately, there are often no obvious symptoms of periodontal disease. Gums and bone can recede, making teeth more vulnerable to decay and potential loss without bleeding or tenderness.

Minor symptoms include:

Bleeding when brushing or flossing
Redness, puffiness or tenderness of the gums
Halitosis or bad breath
Loose teeth
