What is Advanced Periodontal Therapy?

Periodontal disease can wreak havoc on your teeth and health. In fact, more people experience tooth loss from periodontal disease than from cavities. But without regular examinations, you may not even realize you have it.
Symptoms of periodontal disease
Unfortunately, there are often no obvious symptoms of periodontal disease. Gums and bone can recede, making teeth more vulnerable to decay and potential loss – without bleeding or tenderness.
Minor symptoms include:
- Bleeding when brushing or flossing
- Redness, puffiness or tenderness of the gums
- Halitosis or bad breath
- Loose teeth
